Norm Movitz

PRODUCER/HOST

Norm was born and raised in the “Loop” section of University City in St. Louis.

After graduating with a degree in Radio/Television/Film from the University of Missouri-Columbia, he obtained a radio position at Missouri S & T (formally UMR) in 1975 and has been at KMST ever since.

Over the past 41 years, he has hosted classical music shows, written and produced promos, is the local host of Morning Edition, Just Jazz, and writes scripts for KMST’s Day Sponsors and ArtFact.  Having served as KMST’s “morning man” for more than three decades, the station’s flagship news program, Morning Edition has come to be known affectionately throughout South-central Missouri as “Norm’s Show.”

Away from KMST he enjoys everything that the Missouri Ozarks has to offer.

A Violin's Life
